St Michaels Visit

Last Thursday we packed up our winter clothes and headed to St Michaels to visit family.  Weather was not that good in Scottsdale either so a trip made sense.  Not too bad.  Highs in the mid 40's most of the time.  Been a long time since we went to SM during off peak season.  The town was very quiet but we did get to see family which was very nice.

First stop after leaving the airport was lunch in Kent Island.  Found a nice place on the water with great lunch menu.  We had been there years ago with the kids but it was good to go back.

We took the day on Friday to go to Assateague island in an attempt to find the wild ponies.  My sister Kim took the day off to spend it with us.  Had a wonderful ride and as you can see we saw lots of ponies.

Below are some pictures from SM.  We also found a new favorite restaurant while we were there.  Limoncello.  It has been around a while.  Not sure why we had not tried it before, but we will be back.  Teresa had a Limoncello martini which was very good.  Can't wait to try making it when we get home.  We have some really good limoncello from Italy so it should be outstanding.

Hoping to take our Neenah friends (Terry and Stacie) to SM this summer to do a bit of crabbing and bar hopping.  should be a blast.
